I purchased something on 28 May but it's not suitable. I have 28 days to return it. Is today the final day I can get this returned?

I doubt it. Retail works 7 days a week so 28 calendar days puts you just before the end of April I’d have thought?

Yes, if you start counting the day after you bought it. Some retailers count the day you made the purchase which would mean you should have returned it by yesterday.

You could try and take it back anyway, which retailer was it?

I would have thought it meant by today
