easyJet changed flight home to morning after, advice please

My DD and friend are going to Amsterdam, staying in an air BnB. Flight home has been moved to morning after.

Trying to speak to a human at easyJet is proving impossible. Can anyone tell me if easyJet will reimburse an extra night hotel stay?

Thanks

Insurance surely?

What do their terms and conditions state? There should be something along the lines of, "Your rights if we cancel or change your flight". If you have booked the accommodation independently then I doubt they will cover the cost. Have you got travel insurance?

PeanutButterOnToad · 25/06/2022 14:29

I wouldn’t think so tbh but you would need to look at the terms and conditions of the booking. Have they cancelled the original flight and offered an alternative (in which case your DD could reject the offer but accepting it means accepting the new time) or has the flight time been changed, in which case they might argue they have just varied the contract. Total shit, do you have insurance?

I've had an easyJet flight cancelled and they repaid the cost of replacement flight with an alternative airline but seem to recall when I looked in to it, the things you could claim for were quite limited but the info is on their website.

I had our BA flight home from Amsterdam cancelled and BA booked us on another flight that day but gave us the option to choose another time / day.

Google easyJet disruption hub and it should give you your options

According to this page, yes, Easyjet will reimburse the cost of the extra night hotel stay: www.easyjet.com/en/terms-and-conditions/notice-of-rights-for-flight-delays-and-cancellations

That only applies if you have checked in though. If it's in advance I imagine your options are either to get a refund or suck it up.

Ours was delayed by two days and they booked us into a hotel via email - which we accepted there and then.

Does she have the app?
