Anyone else read lots of self improvement....but never acts on it?!

I love reading self help stuff. Books, threads on here, my kindle is full of recommended books to read.

BUT - I think I might be obsessed with reading about it as I just keep want to read more and more and more...and I don't change anything.

Anyone been in this situation before and got themselves to actually implement things they have read and change? Logically I know the answer is small steps, one change at a time and just do it, but I just don't seem to be able to. I'm starting to feel rather stuck amd despondent.

I do...I don't have the follow through to implement habits. It's like I buy the book thinking this will help me but really it never does. See also: containers and boxes for keeping the house tidy, diaries and planners to organise myself a bit better.

Also, books about decluttering or keeping your house tidy

What would you want to change?

I used to read a lot as a teen in the 90s, now I’m much more accepting of myself. In fact I’d say that has been key in effecting change because I’ve found methods and systems that fit with how my brain works rather than trying to change myself.

I’m not sure if that makes sense!

Sometimes it can be fear of success or fear of failure. Maybe you need to improve your self esteem so you recognise you can either implement stuff or you’re happy as you are.

Interesting @caramac04 . Anything you'd recommend? Obviously I love reading books..... 😀
