Does anyone know how much notice we will get if there is to be another train strike?

I heard 2 weeks in one of the articles online

maplecream · 25/06/2022 14:07

Do you know which website that was on?

Unions have to give two weeks notice of a strike. There will be more...TSSA members have just been balloted

So does that mean it could be as soon as two weeks once the ballot closes? When does the ballot close?

It has to be a minimum of two weeks but I think they've already said (even before they'd had this one this week!) that it would be around 25th July.

The next one will be to cause absolute choas so around the 25th seems right.

Lots of people in the country using public transport for the Commonweath games starting that week.

it needs to be sorted. Utterly ridiculous that it’s torn this far. This week was ‘3 days’ but it wasn’t. The trains on non strike days didn’t start until late and finished early. I’m not as bother about the day trips I have planned…more worried about work. I’ll end up having to work extra days which also means more train fares, in order to make up the time.

A good summary
