I was on a spectacularly wrong track for ages. I find I get wedded to an idea and keep trying words in that area rather than accept it's wrong and move on.

I got the message yesterday when I refreshed the page to get my score (having left it open from the previous day) - so I was reasonably sure I was on the genuine site still and hadn't picked up an imposter.

193 guesses, was blundering around for ages to find the area.

I can't access it at all now as I closed the working tab yesterday morning. So that's a pain. Hopefully they will renew their certificate soon. I love Redactle, Pedantle is a poor substitute.

I love both but actually find Pedantle more interesting much of the time as I enjoy the aspect of getting the "nearly" words

If you play Cemantle a few times it really helps you with Pedantle

What I also like about Pedantle is that it doesn't accept typos, so they don't count in your total, my Redactle score is so often madly inflated by typos.

I like Pedantle as well, especially since they changed it from the early days of having very obscure, pretty much impossible,subjects.
