I inject adalimumab (amgevita). I always get an injection site rash for a few days. I injected my thigh for the 1st time on Wednesday. I usually do my stomach. It stung like hell and the rash is driving me mad. Will take another antihistamine.

I never inject my leg for this reason! It always gives me a rash and I never get one on my stomach

ElspethBoomingHowsen really? I didn't know it was a 'thing'. I'll never do it again. The stomach never stings either but my thigh really hurt, I think the fats a bit more solid on my thigh! The itching is driving me mad!

I used to get that when I injected Capaxone. Preparation H cream works wonders for any itching.

Er, I've never had this reaction, but I think you need to get some advice. Every time your skin looks like that there is a risk of cellulitis, so a different approach might be necessary!

And def keep taking max dose of antihistamines .. maybe even, in future, some steroid cream - think layer all over the lump, but NOT in the centre where the injecting hole would be.
