Feels like I'm sunburned but I'm not

The skin on my upper arms and thighs feels sunburned but I haven't been in the sun . There's no rash and it's not itchy, just feels hot but not hot to the touch. I haven't used anything different, no new creams or washing powder.
Any ideas?

Sometimes I get sore and sensitive skin when I’m coming down with a virus. I would think it would be unusual for it to happen for the first time as an adult though (not a medical person so don’t take that as advice).

I've tested for covid but it was negative, although I'm aware that's not the only virus around.

Check for minute scratch or spot . Maybe beginning of infection .

Look up Allodynia and see if that fits

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 23/06/2022 23:42

Both sides or one side? If it's one side it might be shingles.

Vapeyvapevape · 23/06/2022 23:42

It's in patches , on both upper arms and top of thighs .

I'm feeling exactly the same with bad hayfever right now.

Vapeyvapevape · 23/06/2022 23:45

It's both sides , allodynia doesn't quite fit as it stings/tingles without anything touching it.

Could just be heat rash, that feels like sunburn sometimes. Or an allergy - have you considered an antihistamine?

Vapeyvapevape · 23/06/2022 23:58

I've taken piriton but it hasn't helped. I've just realised, could it be a reaction to Sertraline?
