Just had another disappointing Deliveroo/Uber Eats chicken fillet burger. Why is it so hard to get right? I remember the big fat juicy (hormone and water filled!) crispy-battered soft-rolled burgers of my mid 90s teen years and weep. These dried out piddly things with their soggy rolls are an abomination
doesn’t matter if it’s a poncey burger place or a hip southern fried chicken place none are any good. Why could the greasy cafes of mid Ulster get it so right when the ingredients were so basic and the fancy pants places of SW London fail so bad.
