Men and rejection

Just watching the film 'Fresh' new one with Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones.

She rejects the man after their awful first date, telling him politely that they aren't a good match and he says good luck finding a man, stuck up bitch.

It reminds me of when I rejected (politely) to dance with a guy in a Latin bar in London. I was just there to dance with my friend. Anyway, he didn't handle this well and told me I was trash and would end up in the bin, no man would ever want me.

So gross.

Anyone else had men not handle their rejections well? is this because their ego is just so fragile or they just can't comprehend a woman not being into them? Or both..

I had an awful incident - I rejected a guy on Bumble as he tracked me down on LinkedIn. We didn’t even meet. He then tracked me down at work and sent abusive messages. The thick bastard sent it from his work address. I duly informed his HR.

Did you post about that on here? I seem to remember a thread precisely about that, he was demented!

No stories myself, but it's because we're meant to be so grateful for any attention from me, that it's inconceivable we would ever turn them down. And many of these men have such inflated egos that it's a shock to the system to be turned down. It's useful though, because when they react in that way, just confirms you did the right thing!

Worst was a guy who came up behind me in a club and stuck his hand down the front of my pants, didn’t even say a word to me. I obviously told him to fuck off. Later that night I was chatting to a guy, and the loon from earlier came over and punched the guy in the face, knocking out 2 teeth, and threw water all over me. The bouncers did nothing at all to help, in fact they even suggested I was a liar when I asked them for help. 🤨

In my 20s in a nightclub, refused to dance with someone so he grabbed my boobs and called me a slut.

Went to a local pub for a quiet drink with a friend. Sat in a corner obviously deep in conversation. Two squaddies asked us to join them and have a drink and we politely declined, saying we’d come out to chat about something.
They immediately turned abusive towards us, calling us stuck up bitches etc.
This was 30 years ago and I’m still shocked how quickly they turned!
