I have just picked up by first bag from Too Good to Go- from Pret. It's really nice I got 2 Thai veg soups, a falafel wrap and a macaroni cheese...

It's an app to reduce food waste, mine cost £4 but i think it would have come to about £12.

So I just wondered if others use it and what you would recommend?

They go so quick costa and greggs etc by me I have missed out or pick up time quite late. I had a good one from Spar. A butchers nice pie with veg and a dessert . Some one obv thought about it when packing it. Once at a garage we literally just had lots milk and bread. Recently had a bag that was like picnic food with cured meats and antipasti stuff which we are not keen on but it was worth the money.

I used it once from Morrisons and wasn’t impressed. Bags weren’t ready because they said they weren’t expecting anyone (I’d ordered it that morning for 9pm pick up), so had to wait while they went round the store. I got 3 loaves of reduced cheap white sliced bread, some packaged fruit, marinated salmon skewers, some yogurts and jelly pots, and some random bits of veg including a massive cabbage. So nothing I could actually have made a meal out of and it’s lucky I’d just defrosted the freezer!
I keep meaning to try the mini Waitrose at the garage which is sometimes on as they often have good mark downs in an evening.

I live in London so have lots of choice but I prefer the Karma app, where you know what you’re getting.

Picking my first one from Greg’s tomorrow, weirdly excited!

Struck lucky with mine. First bag I got from Morrisons last week £3.09, for over £25 worth of goods, including a huge Galaxy chocolate gateaux (£11) 🥳

I love the Waitrose & M&S garage ones near me - I think the quality of food you get is a bit more reliable there. Tried an Asda garage recently though and got loads. I treat it a bit like a raffle or a tombola, the excitement of what you might get is half the fun.

I've had 2 Morrisions bags. 1st one loads of eggs, a loaf, scotch pancakes, crumpets and bagels. But mainly eggs all short dated so froze and shared the eggs as was 4 or 5 dozen! 2nd one was veg and potatoes a mango and 1 manky banana, similar to the £1.50 veg boxes you get in Lidls.
Will use it all apart from a very dried up sprig of fresh Rosemary as have 2 large rosemary bushes in the garden, so plenty of fresh on hand if I want any!

Have a pony who loves bananas so even the manky banana will get eaten.
Half the fun was seeing what we got, normally they are all gone or collect at times that are inconvenient but I do live in a rural area. Smile

I’ve got a Waitrose and M&S near me but they seem to sell in seconds, just picked my first bag up, it was Greg’s and they were so nice! Received a huge ham and cheese baguette, lovely croissant, 3 different types of donuts and a huge jam heart biscuit for £3.33.

Daughters work lunch sorted tomorrow, I’m have the croissant now with cheese and tomato etc. Hapoy with the bag and have a tea room/ farm shop one reserved for tomorrow.
