Cancer and travel insurance

Hello, just wondered if anyone could help with this?

I want to book travel insurance (EU only) and my husband has secondary cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. His consultant has told him verbally that it's fine to travel.

I know that there are some travel insurance companies who do provide travel insurance for people with cancer, albeit at a more expensive price, but just wondered if anyone here had any recent experiences. It would be good to hear about a company which is reasonably priced, and not too stressful to deal with.

Hi OP
I've just got cover with Stay Sure. I declared a recent cancer but I've finished all treatment for it. I am however waiting for investigations for a different health conditions.
They said I'm covered other than for any claims resulting for the health condition I'm awaiting investigations/treatment for.
So you may find they'll cover your husband but exclude his cancer if he's having active treatment.
I hope you do manage to get the cover you want and enjoy your trip

Hi

Success!

I've just managed to buy travel insurance with All Clear, so thank you especially to those who suggested them.

The questions were quite different to those asked by Insurance With.

I wanted to make sure that my husband is covered for medical treatment, medical repatriation etc, (because of the chance of getting another blood clot or similar) and they've given us £15 million of cover for that.

Total cost just over £300, maybe I could've got it cheaper elsewhere but to be honest once they said yes they could cover us I just wanted to bite their hand off ha ha

Thanks again, to everybody who has commented on this thread. Smile
