Pelvic infection

Hi
I have been diagnosed with pelvic infection given 2 different antibiotics pain was horrendous then a green discharge I have finished 1 antibiotic and still have 4 days left of the other I'm still not feeling myself in bed after 3 weeks no pain now
Has anyone experienced this and any advise would be much appreciated

Apologies didn't want to read and run. I've not had it (yet) but could you ring the doctors again and ask them? They might be able to give you better advice. I hope you're resting and are feeling a little bit better x

Yes.
I had this after my first baby. Antibiotics were given and my GP just said that would sort it.

I had intermittent pain for 5 years. GP would swab me and say no infection so no antibiotics.

By accident (through miscarriage due to infection) I found a brilliant doctor through the GUM clinic. She explained that the infection had migrated and was causing issues in my deeper tissues. I took strong antibiotics for 6 months!

Cured. The next pregnancy resulted in a healthy baby.

I do wish GPS were better informed but I think it's quite specialist.

If it doesn't clear up with your treatment and you swab clear, find an experienced doctor in your GUM clinic. This is their area of expertise and they are good.
