Is Hague Blue over?

DH’s dream is to do the fireplace wall in Hague Blue. Classy. Elegant.

Before I cast the deciding vote(!), please tell me… is Hague Blue over?!

Our tiny downstairs loo is all Hague Blue with brilliant white skirting and ceiling - it looks amazing. We wondered if it would be too dark for a small space but actually it really works. I don't think in a period house that it's a colour that would date.

I’m on a Facebook interiors group and every other home seems to have Hague Blue in at least one room. But it looks good and impactful still.

OP did you do it? Any pics? Deciding between this and stiffkey blue...

“Farrow and Fucking Ball” as it’s lovingly called by my friend who is a painter/decorator. He refuses use it, but he will take a tester pot to colour match it in trade paint. I like Hague Blue!

We’ve got stiffkey blue in our bedroom (actually colour matched as F&B paint has been shit elsewhere in our house for wear!) and I love it. So it’s certainly not ‘over’ in my house, it’s really tranquil and calming. Love it.

Did it, on all walls (thanks for the tip!) and it looks regal and elegant and amazing. It’s fantastic and I love it. We have had so many comments from people who visit us, universally positive. We did do a tester pot of Stiffkey but in the end we realised it was HB or nothing!
