Working for a 'cool' advertising agency

I've been working in an advertising/marketing agency for the last year and have struggled to settle into it as I feel like I don't understand or fit in with the 'cool' company culture. I previously worked in academia and I'm quite quiet and reserved and felt at home in academia. I'm in my late 20s.

I had never worked an office/corporate job before and in my head I guess I was expecting pencil skirts and stilettos and office cubicles and something like The Office TV programme. Instead there's jeans and trainers, Friday afternoon beers in the office, ping pong tables and frequent paid for meals and events where there is thousands of pounds behind the bar. In meetings, emails and Teams messages there's swearing and joking around which whilst I like having a laid back atmosphere, I still can't get used to as I feel like I need to act Professional. On paper it sounds great, but I find it all really intimidating and feel like I don't fit in.

Do you think it's something I could learn to embrace and get used to, or is it a sign that the company isn't a good fit for me?

Whats the job, is it in the creative department. It sounds fun to me, I worked for a large London agency in the 70s and it sounds the same sort of atmosphere, lots of younger people and very indoemal, it seemes that only some of the secreraries wore office clothes and the directors but only when they had client meetings.
