Car choice - help!

So I'm very lucky to have 12k to spend on a car (selling my current car which I saved up to buy a few years ago). I don't want to enter any finance or lease deals.
I want a family suv as big as possible. We only holiday in the UK and have 2 dogs and 2 under 2.
I also would love leather seats, Bluetooth and something that won't guzzle fuel. Happy to go as old as 2014. I've looked at the mitsubishi outlander and am very tempted. I like the idea of the battery version but it's out of my budget. I feel completely lost and overwhelmed! Help, please!

We had a Honda CRV at one point and I loved it. Would quite like another one at some point..!

Unfortunately what you describe guzzle fuel! Look at hybrids if you need fuel economy. On that budget I suggest you go to a large car supermarket type place and see how far your money goes.

Thanks all. Sorry for the late reply.
Love the idea of a hybrid but have been reading that the extra cost for the car (the cost of fuel over so many years would still be less than the extra payout for the car?)
@Fashiontatts did your Honda have 7 seats?
Do I need 7 seven seats or not?! Talked myself into thinkung we do but not sure now.

Hi, no ours was a 5 seat. But we only had 1DC, so was plenty big at the time. The boot was huge!
