Tent towels?

In the 70s they were very popular.

Two sides of a towel sewed together and then the top folded over and sewn and elastic threaded through.

You would slip it on and wriggle around inside to remove your swimsuit and get changed into your clothes.

Like a dry robe?

Had never seen them but they look so cool.

Easy to make - I used a bath towel. Fab for the gym / swimming pool when changing in those large open plan changing rooms. Not as fashionable as a dry robe but cheap and does the job!

My MIL made one for DD so yep, we have one - much cheaper than our dry robe was lol 😆

I didn't know about these but they look handy.

I made one for DS a few years ago, to get changed on quay after watersport.
Pretty easy to just buy toweling robes now, so wouldn't bother today.
