Major TMI: Very painful sex 3 months postpartum, normal?

DH and I just dtd for the first time since I had dd2 almost 12 weeks ago. It was honestly excruciating we almost had to stop. When we finished I’ve realised I’m bleeding a little. Is this normal?! I only had a first degree tear so no stitches. I can’t remember this happening after dd1. I am breastfeeding which I know can lead to less lubrication, but that didn’t actually seem to be an issue!? Ouch. Please tell me it will get better?!

Bleeding isn't usual but may be because of dryness. Did you use lube? I've needed an absolute ton for the first year or so after each delivery.
Yes it hurts at first, yes it does get better with time. Defo see a dr if bleeding continues

I’m due a cervical screen now so that’s good, at least it can rule out any problems. We didn’t use lube but it didn’t feel dry, if that makes sense?! Definitely struggled with dryness after my last baby but jeez not that kind of pain 😭

I had this, though had a c section. It got gradually better. It felt like I was a lot tighter than before.
