There's about 15 flies buzzing round my living room right now

Nasty buggers. I've got the French doors open, they're too stupid to understand I don't want them in here, and also how to get back out!

How do you deal with flies at this time of year? I've tried a stick on screen thing but with the kids in and out all the time it had limited effectiveness. I don't really want to spray them coz they'll all fall on the floor and also the smell of it!

Hate hate hate them. There is an field full of cows behind us so we get loads, they come in and bite you and then leave those horrid blood spot poo things all over everything that’s a nightmare to get off. Really need to get one of those magnetic fly curtain things for the back door

I have the weapon to hand, one of those zapping racquet things. Also the cat is helping out

You need to get a fly trap for the outside, I would reccomend The Buzz

These are amazing.
Smell rank when you empty them though!
But l wouldn't be without one.

I've got loads of those crazy bastards that buzz around in squares under all the light fittings. Why, why, why, do they do that? Insane behaviour. Anyway, I have just been running around with a hoover attachment. Not very effective, but fun!

Something that helps with the bigger bastards is voiles over all the french windows, so open, but with floaty coverings, helps.

Isn't there some hack about putting pennies in certain locations to confuse their radar with the reflection?

It wouldn't be practical in our house with kids and dogs who would munch the pennies.

Yes they do. I remember my granny having those up. Not sure if I can use those tbh only because we have really high ceilings and I can't reach even with the stepladder I have.

Better than having low ceilings and only finding out DP had bought some when the bastard stuff was attached to my hair.

I think house flies want to be indoors in your home or in active buildings with food available. I always notice that if they go to fly outside and realise the turn right back in. Other insects including the larger blue bottle flies that sometimes come inside if you open the door or window they fly right out in search of a fresh bit of poo or something. But house flies are happy right where they are. I hate them so if anyone knows how to get rid or prevent I'll be grateful.

Lemongrass essential oil in a diffuser as close to the doors as possible. I read it on a blog and it worked instantly
