Those who are on the Council how long did it take for you to get re-homed getting really frustrated with living with my mum & I honestly hate living here. Desperate for my own home I have a child no partner

It depends. A lot of councils have moved to a choice based system where you bid on housing.

I applied in November 2019 to join the choice based system. I'm still bidding on everything I can.

You could ask your mum to inform the council she us making you homeless, that would increase your banding to a top priority

Depends on the council, a lot would offer you temporary accommodation (alot of which is absolutely horrible) and if you turn it down they’ll strike you off their list.

I applied directly to a housing association and was in my new house within 2 months. Much quicker than the council - they have a lot of houses on council lists but are allowed to list some separately from that.

Hi, I am looking for another single mum who wants to privately rent in Central London or zone 2 or 3. It is so difficult to find a place as landlords prefer to rent to couples, so teaming up with another mum can be a solution. I also want to get back to work full time, and childcare costs are super high, so if I would look after kids on my days off and another mum would look after kids on her days off, we could put kids to nursery for only one or two days a week, which is affordable. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Hi! Unfortunately I don’t live anywhere near London, but thank you for your offer.
