I’m currently in a v hot country and my calves and ankles have merged into one.

does anyone have tips to regain an ankle?

or is it just inevitable in the heat?

Elevating your feet as much as possible and maybe putting them in cool water might help.

Buy some flight/compression socks (surgical ones may be cheaper) and wear them - although it will make you even hotter. Maybe just wear at night.

I have some surgical socks that I wear when flying. My legs always used to swell up on the flight and not go down until I got home and it doesn't happen anymore. As yours are already swollen this may not help as much but it should improve things

Drink more water than you ever thought was humanly possible.
Cut down on salt consumption.
Elevate your feet as much as possible.
Bath in Epsom salts.

Elevate your feet
plenty of water
compression socks ( make sure they fit properly and don’t did in at the top)
try and use your calf muscles more so no sitting or standing for long periods.
shoes with rocker bottom feet are good - sketchers do them. They create an unstable stir face which forced you to use your calf more.
