Coping when dealing with DCs issues. How?

I’m really struggling at the moment. The saying you’re only as happy as your most unhappiest child (I think that’s right?) is really fitting. My dd 14 is so unhappy at school. Problems with friends or lack of them. Have contacted school so many times & not much changes. Don’t think there is anything practical I can do.

I make sure dd & I do nice things together, make sure her home life is OK, try and provide emotional support & be there for her.

But it’s taking its toll on me. This morning she was crying about school so I’ve spent all day worrying about her. She text me from the toilets saying how alone she felt. I try & be supportive but feel it’s all making me feel really really unwell with the worry of it all. It’s everyday and I’m a single parent (DDs dad dead) so no one to share the anxiety with. I have bored my friends stupid talking to them which helps a little.

how do people cope? Work is a distraction but I know I’m a few hours I’ll have to go home and see her sad face and hear how bad her day was. I feel burnt out with it.
