Advice on suitcases, please

I am about to go on two holidays , back to back, and have deiced to invest in some new luggage. No budget, as such, but I would like something lightweight yet sturdy, which is going to last, and which will be acceptable on most airlines ie not be charged for having too big a bag, but wanting a decent sized one. I should also invest in a new cabin/carry on bag.

I would be really grateful for any recommendations. I think that I would probably prefer to go with soft rather than hard shell, due to the risk of cracking.

Pretty please, can you let me have your advice, thanks!!

I’ve got two, large eight wheelers from Antler-they’re fab, solid and well made. Think they’ll last forever. I’ve also got two large eight wheelers from IT luggage; the world’s lightest range. They’re really light, (about 2.5kg I think) are also brilliant and they were substantially cheaper than the Antler cases.

Forgot to put-they’re all soft bodied. The antlers (prestwick range) weigh about 3.5kg each. They also have a built in locking system which is TSA approved. All of them came with a ten year warranty.

I've got IT ones and they are very light and they've lasted well. Matalan usually have offers on, that's when I got mine.

Ove had my hard shell it case for quite a few years and still does a pretty good job despite all the throwing around it's gone through. I've also recently bought a soft it case and it survived its first flight...as did my Ninja foodi that was in it 😄
