I’m struggling to find family time activities for me and my two kids (6 and 8). For instance on a Saturday night they’re glued to Tv/ screens and I find it hard to find fun things to do together. What do others do? Help a tired stressed mum tbat wants to do better!!

My dc are 6 and 8 too. We like board/card games, crafting, going for walks etc. Dh and ds like collecting Pokemon together. We don't mind a bit of telly (Bake off, Task Master and Sewing Bee are our faves). We really like cooking and baking together.

Is it stuff to do on a Saturday evening together indoors? What about baking? Get one of those kids cookery books and let them take turns picking things to make and then spend time together baking it. Or make homemade pizzas and have a movie night snuggled up on the couch in your pj's? Play board games together?

We do lots of card games and board games. Movie nights are also good. We love doing drawing tutorials together on YouTube. Sometimes we play Switch games like Mario Kart or Just Dance.

My DC are 9 and 5
