Another passport question.

Sent Ds's passport renewal on 3rd May (6weeks ago). Not expecting the new one yet but I'm a bit worried that we haven't had any acknowledgment of receipt or anything.

Should I have expected a text or email or something?

Was it online? I sent my son's on the 7th and I got notification yesterday that they recieved my son's old passport yesterday. This was the liverpool office

I have put the details in the online form twice but it says they will contact you if there is a problem doesn't seem to give an updated situation.

We applied by post so I don't know if that makes it slower.

Even though we sent it signed for, I'm a bit worried they haven't received it. Doesn't help that DS1 did his online a week or so later and his has just arrived!
