Does anyone know if you need a swim slot to use a pre booked cabana or can you use booking a cabana as a way of getting an extra swim slot?

I booked a cabana at Woburn and thought I had to coincide it with the booked swim slot. They told me when I got there that it wasn’t necessary and the cabana booking includes the swim slot. I would still probably check with Guest Services though.

Thanks Tina, that sounds promising, we are going to Wobern as well. May I ask what did you think of the Cabana? Was it worthwhile?

Love a cabana. They book up very quickly, so make sure you are on it!!

We had a cabana pre covid. It came with soft drinks and was fab for our extended family. It meant some could chill and not have to swim while children were in and out of the water.

I think ours had a TV too? I recall my Dad watching a footie final of some sort? It was over 11 years ago now, my memory may be misremembering.

Booked a cabana last year and was really disappointed with it, maybe it was my expectations but it was just a bit meh. Booked one of the later, cheaper slots and I was glad I didn’t pay full whack. DH did take all the drinks from the fridge when we left 😜

It was really handy to have a spacious area to change the DC and our own little safe to store valuables. Previously it was a seriously frustrating experience messing around with lockers and ultra-small changing rooms. Also, having towels included was useful and one less thing to worry about. We also had a large rubber ring and a beach ball for use during our time slot.
At Woburn they are up at the top of the pool areas, so quite secluded but because of the quite dense jungle of trees, you won't see much from there. On the other hand, not many people are likely to walk past!

Great thanks all. I have booked one for the day we check out as it will be good to have a base after we lose our lodge. Getting excited now...

I booked a swim slot just in case but it wasn’t needed. Worth it just not to have to contend with the horror of the changing village.

We hire one every year. We go with another family and we pay and the other family provide a buffet and we join at booze. We take the evening slot, it’s really peaceful by the end of the slot and a good way to round off the day.

I am here as we speak and i have booked a cabana for every day. Love the comfort and privacy of it and it has a fan, a tv, towels and drinks. No carrying drinks and towels to the pool and no trying to change in a tiny locker. Oh and it had a safe too.

Seeleyboo · 14/06/2022 10:45

Forgot to add. No need to book a swim too.

TinaYouFatLard · 14/06/2022 13:48

@Wheretheskyisblue sorry I posted then fell asleep. IMO you won’t regret booking a cabana - it’s a game changer for us!

CoffeeWithCheese · 14/06/2022 13:54

No you don’t need a swim slot as well - we’re here at the moment and booked one for check in day. Can also turn up without booking after 6 and the amount of attention being paid to swim slots here is um minimal!

Wheretheskyisblue · 14/06/2022 18:06

Thanks Tina.

How busy is the pool at the moment coffee? If they are ignoring the slots does that mean it is packed?

Also do you know what the difference is between the regular and exclusive cabanas? Is it worth paying the extra?
