Wedding present help?

So a friend of mine ours got married during Covid which was a very very small ceremony (which I didn’t attend). They’re now having their wedding party in July.

What can I get as a gift? I don’t want to spend a lot of money as it’s not a particularly close friend.

Just stick a tenner in a card then, if you don't want to spend much

Palavah · 13/06/2022 22:13

How much do you want to spend?

Tinks15 · 13/06/2022 22:23

Ideally no more than £30

A nice bottle of gin, champagne etc. something that is packaged nicely

  • Either £30 in a card
  • a little hamper of goodies. Bottle of fizz or wine (if they drink), hibiscus flower in syrup, chocolates, crackers, posh crisps, bacon jam etc.
  • A pot plant/tree/fruit tree

Put a note in a card and they can spend it on what they like.

Lots of people don't like champagne.
If they don't have a gift list, it is safest to go with cash and they can put it all together for something no individual guest could afford, or, if they prefer, buy smaller things they do want, but to their own style / taste / colour scheme, and only end up with one of the things they only need one of.
