Hi all. Just need a hand hold as I'm working myself up. Had an excision breast biopsy three weeks ago, phoned the breast unit for an update today and was told that my results were being discussed at MDT tomorrow and I would receive a call to either give me the all clear or book an appointment (likely bad news).
Background - 4 years ago I had DCIS and a double mastectomy, all fine since. Found a tiny mobile lump on my breast, ultrasound showed no tethering or blood vessels/supply around the lump. Surgeon thinks it's possibly some dead fat cells as I also had lipomodelling. She said she doesn't think it's cancer in the slightest but wanted to remove it due to worrying it may have silicone from my implants in. She said she would even allow me to go home and monitor it rather than remove, she's that confident it's not cancer and also put me on the non urgent surgery list.
BUT ... Once you've had bad news I can't imagine getting anything else. 😔 feel sick every time I think about the phone call tomorrow.
