If I've a fb friend and I look up the profile of one of their friends, will that person appear as a 'people you may know' suggestion to me?

Likewise will I appear to a 'people you may know' suggestion to them?

If this is what happens and they do not appear as a 'people you may know' on my fb account have they deliberately removed me as a friend suggestion?

I'm asking as they were a real life friend at one point but we had a silly falling out a few years ago and I want to be fb friends to apologise and move on.

as friend suggestions - think they just come up with people who have the same friends - so they may turn up but won’t be because you’ve searched them.

You may appear as a "someone you may know" but not because you've looked at them. Just because you have contacts in common.

I think it's random. The people you may know list on mine is people who would not look at my profile. Its just those who have mutual friends. Can you see this friend on your friends friend list? Unless they have it set to private

People will say no, that doesn't happen but it absolutely, definitely does.
I have met people unconnected to anyone I know who, pretty soon after I meet them and we know each other's names, appear at the top of my 'people you might know' list.
So be prepared to be caught snooping! (I am very careful who I snoop on.)

So my looking them up has nothing to do with it just that we have a mutual friend. OK I understand.

Right if that's the case and they've not appeared on my people you may now bit, could they have just removed me?

I am also a fb friend with another fb friend of their's.
That is we've two friends in common.

A friend and I were talking about someone with an unusual name, and they appeared as a suggested friend to both of us a couple of hours later! I swear FB listens in to conversations!
