Looking books with extra elements, any suggestions

I love reading books that have extra elements like note forms, emails, cases, scripts, things like that.

My favourites have been anything by Cara Hunter, The Appeal by Janice hallet , The good girls guide to murder series even though YA by Holly Jackson , S by JJ adams

I wondered if anyone had any other recommendations! I find this quirk in writing style so enjoyable especially in crime books, think it plays into my joy of thinking I'm a detective ha!

But I find anything written like this quite rare and searching has provided no other option s so wondered if anyone remembers any they have read

The only one I can think of is Mark Z. Danielewski House of Leaves

Thank you! One to look at :) I am guessing by the lack of replies that these style books are rarer than I imagined I find the change of style really keeps me engaged in the book and love the different narrative view points they bring

Thanks again for replying

We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver -written in the form of letters
Misery by Stephen King - partly a novel within a novel
A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay - interesting blog running alongside the main story

If I think of any more I'll add them

Try Matt Wesolowski - his series is about a podcaster looking at old crimes, with some supernatural elements - I’m really enjoying them!
