Question about Twitter

Someone I used to be good friends with has recently become quite well known. I like to look at their Twitter to see what they are saying. But I don't follow them.

Can they know I am looking?

No. But that’s quite weird to stalk- why not just follow them

I don't consider it stalking really. They are an elected representatives posting political stuff.
I don't want to open up an opportunity for contact which following would do via DMs I think.

Normally they’d have to follow you back to be able to send you a DM.

But if you want to just watch, then as pp says, you can just look at their Twitter feed and they won’t know.

I don’t think it’s weird at all. I do it with a few controversial characters.

Just because you follow someone doesn’t mean you message them. Still bloody weird - just follow them
