Best pool toys?

Taking a trip with family soon and the place we have booked has a pool. I want to pick up a few bits for the dc to play with in and around the pool. They are 10&8. Any must haves? I will pick up the obligatory float/lilo, but any must have smaller pool toys?

Is there such a thing as a travel volleyball net that can be put up across a pool? That would be fun! All I have so far is a couple of small plastic fish which swim by themselves and a little net to snare them.

Pool noodles are great!! They can help if someone is learning to swim, they are good fun, no need to inflate and quite portable

Oh! And a coin! If they are confident swimmers 😉 that used to be our favourite game: someone throws the coin in and we all scramble to find it and catch it

Coin retrieving is a great idea! They are both very competent swimmers so no swimming aids needed, but a noodle does have good play value!

Snorkel and mask?

We've got water guns that are made out of pool noodles. They are fun.

Those break a lot.... but I saw an amazing pool inflatable that had a water gun attached to it and it was mind blowing!!!

You might endup annoying other pool users with a volleyball net that's better left to the hotel to organise.

ScootsMcHoy · 11/06/2022 21:00

Ours haven't broken.

It's a private pool.

I’d recommend dive sticks. We have a set that look like sharks and have been played with for
hours on end!

Peachyqueen · 11/06/2022 21:08

Search on Amazon for pool hammock. Best £15 we've ever spent!

We have a pool and the floating volleyball net is good. Basketball hoop less so. But you can't beat a large unicorn.
