Nature / animal holidays / trips

Can anyone recommend any nature / wildlife holidays or trips they have enjoyed please? We are just back from Northumberland where we saw puffins, seals, and dolphins. On a smaller scale my DD did a couple of organised bug hunt / nature sessions and we went rock pooling. We loved all of it.

My recommendations are a caravan on College Barn Farm near Oxford which has badger watching hides. Magical experience and I'd love to see badgers again. We used to go somewhere in Cheshire but doesn't seem to be running the sessions anymore.

Also had a fantastic time with wolves through Wolf Watch Uk, although sadly they have lost a couple of the pack since we went (as in they died, not literally lost.)

Most places don't seem to advertise themselves much, I only find by searching specifically by animal so I'm sure I'm missing a ton of great options by not googling right.

I know there's a safari park down south you can stay on but that's a bit more artificial than we'd like.

Sorry that ended up a bit waffley.

You need to go to Mull. The best place for wildlife watching.

Also the Aigas Field Centre near Inverness do family wildlife weeks. We didn't actually go on a family specific one but our kids loved it.

We did a holiday in Costa Rica where we spent time volunteering as a family at a wildlife refuge.

If anyone is in Northumberland then the Farne Islands are well worth a trip, particularly in spring when the puffins are nesting (baby puffins are called pufflings and are v sweet).

Following with interest - DS is obsessed with animals so we're always looking for places to go to see them whether it be a new farm, zoo, wildlife park, safari etc etc.
Any ideas (in UK or beyond) gratefully recieved, thank you!

Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay are good for sea life.
I think you can stay at Knepp. DH did a deer photography day there.

If your DD likes bug hunting etc, check out your local wildlife trust as they do regular sessions for children.

New Forest is good for ponies and deer.
