Holiday suggestions

Dh and I are elderly 78 and 86. His mobility is very limited, mine is better but not great. We are desperate for a short UK break preferably in a really nice hotel with lovely views, by the sea would be ideal . He can’t manage stairs at all and long corridor treks would be difficult. Room service breakfast would make life easier for us.
We live in Shropshire and I can manage to drive for up to 3 hours. Does anyone have any suggestions please? We aren’t wealthy but would pay a reasonable amount for the right place. Thanks

The Trefeddian Hotel was really accommodating when we stayed, so I’m sure they’d make life as easy as possible for you and your husband. Here’s their access statement www.trefwales.com/hotel-policies/access-statement

Thank you I will look at that.

I think your main is going to be driving distance as 3 hours from Shropshire might not even get you to the coast if you want a seaview! What about Llandudno area?

I live near the Welsh border and can get to Barmouth in just under 3 hours and and about the same to Anglesey.
I can also get to the Lakes or the Yorkshire Dales within my time frame.

Oh ok so you’re further north, that’s good! What about somewhere like Morecambe or Lytham St Anne’s?

Husband is currently not well enough to go anywhere so I am having to shelve plans. Sometimes I look longingly at the spare room and think I will get into the bed there for a little break!
