Any ME/CFS Sufferers here? Advice

I have ME/CFS and I have done for a very long time. A couple of days ago I over did it with a few necessary household chores and a brief emergency dash to the store. By late evening I had severe pain in my lower back and legs, I’m used to this. I took some painkillers and went to bed.

However, what came next I’ve never experienced before. I went to sleep and woke a few hours later to go to the loo. My whole body from my neck to my toes was so stiff and achy, I had to shuffle to the loo. My shoulders, neck, back, legs, ankles and feet all aching and sore. It hurt to move.

I got back in to bed and whilst lying down I felt like I couldn’t breathe deep enough. I wasn’t struggling I just felt like I was pausing and having to to breathe deeply to get a breath. I’ve also been having on and off tingling in both sides of my face.

The next day , I was ok but extremely exhausted and I feel internally bruised from head to toe from the aching. I’ve got a continuous mild headache and on and off tingling in my head still.

Does anyone else with ME/CFS get this?

I have ME/CFS and have certainly experienced all manner and severity of pain, and I have a headache pretty much constantly, but not the issues with breathing you mention. My first thought is have you had/ do you have Covid? Breathing issues are a symptom and also, I believe, tingling and nerve pain are common with long Covid. I hope you can rest & improve soon.

Yes I get it a lot and it happens quite a bit in severe ME but if it’s not normal for you then you might want to get checked

If you have had Covid then a cfs “relapse” can definitely trigger some Covid symptoms as well.
