Holiday Let Owners ..where do you advertise if you are not on any of the booking sites?

Friend has finished renovating her holiday let and wants to rent out. But at mo she doesnt want to asvertise on Air bnb or bookings com etc.

If you have a holiday let, where do you advertise and get your customers from?

Anyone???

I'm a member of some FB groups with cottages- a hot tub one and a pet friendly one - that could be an alternative route for her.

Write a few advertise in our local town magazine, ie the owners live locally but the rental property is away.

Thanks for this she is looking for other areas to promote rather than magazine advertising so anything other ideas would be welcome. Thank you though
