I've had today
3 crumpets for breakfast, toasted with butter.
For lunch 60g dry weight white rice (cooked with some peas and sweetcorn)
2pm ish 2 slices of wholemeal toast with jam.

It's only 4:15 and im not sure I'm going to make it till tea..

Send snacks..

Some days I would be, yes. That’s all carbs so there’s no protein to keep you going longer.
I eat like that just before my period.

Etinoxaurus · 07/06/2022 16:18

That’s a lot of very fast carbs
I’d feel hungry and a bit scratchy. Try swapping in something a bit more sustaining. Peanut butter on the crumpets, sardines with fish etc.

HandbagsnGladrags · 07/06/2022 16:19

I'm always hungry. But yeah, you need protein to fill you up.

Protein! I’d be ravenous on all carbs

Coughee · 07/06/2022 16:19

Yes, I love carbs and would be the last person to go low carb but you definitely need some protein in there. That list looks like the worst of all worlds, high calorie, low nutrition and not even particularly like a treat either. Is there a reason for you eating this kind of food? Finance's or something?

Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas · 07/06/2022 16:19

Probably. It’s not very balanced. It’s all carbs.

mackthepony · 07/06/2022 16:20

Yup. No protein there

Overthebow · 07/06/2022 16:21

yes, it’s all carbs and no protein. It won’t fill you up.

QueenofDestruction · 07/06/2022 16:23

Most people would be on that amount of carbs, its protein that keeps you full.

AyeUpMeDuck · 07/06/2022 16:24

I hate food.
I wish I could take a pill and not have to worry about. 42 years and I don't know what I'm doing.

I'm trying to eat better. Rice and veg was an alternative to one of those £3 meal deals sarnies, crisps and Chocolate bar. In my head rice and veg = healthy..

So I need protein. Chicken or fish I guess?
Rice, peas, sweetcorn and grilled chicken breast for lunch?

3 crumpets for breakfast, toasted with butter > change to two crumpets with peanut butter and banana

For lunch 60g dry weight white rice (cooked with some peas and sweetcorn) > replace with baked jacket potato with tuna and cheese, or an omelette, or make a kind of poke bowl with the rice, peas and corn and some salmon or tuna

2pm ish 2 slices of wholemeal toast with jam > replace with one slice toast with hummus or oatcakes and cheese

what have you planned for dinner?

Lacedwithgrace · 07/06/2022 16:29

Add chicken to the rice, peanut butter to the crumpets and maybe eggs with the toast or an omelette

playtest12 · 07/06/2022 16:31

That's all carbs. No veg or meat protein.

Of course you're hungry!

AyeUpMeDuck · 07/06/2022 16:32

what have you planned for dinner?

I was going to have a 2 egg omelette with a bit of cheese and half tin of baked beans, with a handful of prepacked bag salad.from Lidl.

mistermagpie · 07/06/2022 16:42

Your dinner sounds good, protein in there. But you'd be better adding in the beans with your crumpets in the morning and some chicken or fish/tofu with your lunch.

I wouldn't be hungry if I ate that, but I wouldn't be happy either!

HandbagsnGladrags · 07/06/2022 16:48

I wish I didn't like food. I wouldn't be so fat.

SeriousAlligator · 07/06/2022 16:52

I don't known if id be hungry (probably!) But I'd be really bored and probably in some sort of sugar-induceed slump from all the white carbs.

SantiMakesMeLaugh · 07/06/2022 17:18

I’d add some proteins to your breakfast too
