Cabin bag recommendations

Hi,

I was just looking for cabin bag recommendations. They have to be 40cm x 25cm or less.

Thank you 😋

That's very small - who are you flying with? Even Easyjet's smallest is 45 x 36 x 20cm

We are flying with Ryan air. It has to be 40cm x 25cm x 20cm according to their website :/

Small rucksack, Superdry Montana for example.

I just take a rucksack-if you want. Regular sized cabin bag the you have to pay extra. All the budget airlines do this now. Luggage often costs more than the flight!

BarbaraofSeville · 07/06/2022 12:53

Is this the only luggage you're allowed and what do you need? It's often worth paying extra either for priority boarding to get the larger wheelie case or a proper hold bag.

Or if you're only going on a short trip and are happy with the small bag, just use something you already have (rucksack, holdall, large handbag etc).

I went on an Easyjet flight for a weekend away and just took a rucksack, that just fit into the dimensions posted by @BIWI

CabinMax make bags specifically to fit RyanAir / EasyJet cabin sizings.

Size is correct. Sturdy. Price is reasonable for what you get. Looks pretty smart, too. Works very well for local weekends away too, far easier to carry than a rucksack because of the wheels - can be pushed upright as well. Handbags can be slung on the handle and consolidated.

The only problem with it is that I wish I’d gotten it sooner.

I have this one. Fits under Ryan air seat perfectly. I went to a Portugal for 3 days and packed everything in it

We got the Cabin Max backpacks last year and can highly recommend. They unzip on 3 sides so it is really easy to see everything. I reckon if you were going on a short city break type of holiday, you could get away with just this bag - very spacious.

But the size isn't correct!

According to that website, it's 56 x 36 x 23cm, which is much bigger than what the OP is allowed.

It's confusing though, because the title of the website does say 20, but it's 20", which means 20 inches, not centimetres.

PetalParty · 07/06/2022 14:11

You’re right! Sorry! It’s very similar to my own but slightly larger.

Mine is actually from TK Maxx and cost a little less than Amazon and no longer seems to be online in those places. A pity because it’s the perfect size.

Billandben444 · 07/06/2022 16:45

I use the Cabin Max Metz 20L. They've shot up in price but Amazon has one for £30 if you don't mind the colour! It's brilliant cos it unzips all the way round so you can pack it like a suitcase, the straps are comfy and it fits under Ryanair seats. I take enough for 3/4 days without a problem.
