Just 3 months after my darling mum did, and I can't stop crying.

I’m so sorry for you, and I’m not surprised that you can’t stop crying. Losing your lovely mum isn’t something that you can get over quickly. You’ve had a shock, too. It’s not weird that you’re crying about the death of your father, even if he was horrible. He was still your dad. Have you got someone with you, in real life? Can you call someone? 💐

@ErmineAndPearls thank you for your lovely reply. My partner has been with me most of the day, but he's had to go out for a few hours which I don't mind at all as he;s been a star.

It's just that after standing up to dad over his treatment of me and mum he then stopped us seeing each other for several years. The anger I've felt over his behaviour has been huge, but now all I can think of is 'what a waste of it all'.

All I can think of is what sort of dad he should/could have been. Instead I just had one who didn't like or love me.

Totally normal. Lots of emotion and stress over many years to process. xx
