Dvla processing times

Evening, I sent my dd birth certificate off to dvla along with the application form, by tracked and sign on delivery post from my local post office on 25th may, according to dvla tracking and proof of delivery it hasn’t got there. Is this normal at the moment, I thought I would of had proof of delivery by now.
and how do I now find out where the post has gone as it’s got dds birth certificate and national insurance certificate in there.

Dvla are in an even bigger mess than the passport office, just doesn't get the same headlines.
I know a few people who've had to wait 3-5 months for renewals recently (usually done in about a week).

That’s good to know, my dds is her provisional licence.
is there anyway I can try and chase it up as I am worried about her birth certificate going missing, I posted it signed for on arrival

Sent away my application beginning of March, haven't heard nothing yet.

Did my renewal online last month and received new license 4 days later so obviously it's just the postal side that's gone to pot.

I have checked the Royal Mail tracking today and still not got to dvla, I have checked with them as well and still saying awaiting return. Is there anyway I can find out where this letter has gone as contains important documents, it’s two weeks tomorrow I sent it with a signature on delivery

I've just tried to renew mine online but it can't verify my passport for some unknown reason, so am going to have to renew by post. What happens then if you're new licence doesn't arrive before your old licence has expired??
