First I need to say I suffer from massive anxiety.
I'm taking my children out on the train tomorrow. I completed an online family railcard renewal but to show the ecard you need to dow load an app.
Every time I go on the app to put in the code to sort it it just says "oops there's a problem" ive tried on my husbands phone too.
So ive paid £30 for the card but without having it I have to pay £36 for the tickets rather than £16.
I'm feeling so anxious about it and don't know what to do tomorrow .

Do you have an email with the family card details? You could try showing it at the staton and explaining the problem with the app.

How did you get on?

delilabell · 06/06/2022 17:03

They refused to accept it :-( so I had to pay the £36 plus the £30 for my railcard. I'm going yo have to phone up and ask for my money back somehow

I've had problems with railcard renewal before and when I managed to speak to someone, they were very helpful.
I've just redone ours 2 weeks ago where I got a digital download code sent on email and I had to add that to the app that I already had.
Have you redownloaded the app to your phone - I had an email last week to say there were problems displaying the digital rail card so I had to back to the App Store and download it again.

That's so annoying, OP. Hope you had a lovely day, even though this must have put a cloud over it.

They will usually refund the difference once a year if you have forgotten it so there must be some scope for it to be sorted out
