Awful Mumsnet Ideas (LH)

WheresTheLambSauce · 04/06/2022 22:15

Thought it might be a bit of a laugh to brainstorm some truly terrible (and entirely hypothetical) mumsnet ideas. Think of these as anti-quality of life improvements - the more confusing, frustrating and user-unfriendly your suggestion, the better! 😆

To start us off: Anyone who posts in any thread is now required to end their messages with at least 5 positive emojis, or their reply will be reported for not keeping with the MN spirit. This new rule will, of course, be implemented with no warning.

You must use MN abbreviations (MNA) interchangeably and to mean different things. Anyone with a MNA (mumsnet account) must use MNA in accordance with their own made up rules and everyone must both understand and not question the MNA MNA.

In addition all people discussed in the OP (opening post) must be referred to by letter and in alphabetical order as they appear in the story. The OP (original poster) must use these consistently so as not to make their OP look like a mathematical genius's nightmare algebra equation that's copulated with that of a chemical mastermind.

To get this thread to classics, you must be wearing a monocle whilst typing in it.

Derailing on a very minor point in a previous post.

I thought this was going to be awful mumsnet ideas such as dealing with difficult friends and family with a head tilt and a tinkly laugh, or logging it with 101.

Have you tried a simple but effective 'did you mean to be so rude?'
