Gallbladder operation question

I am having gallbladder surgery, am slightly nervous, a question I forgot to ask at my pre op appointment is do I have to have tube down my throat? Thank you

You will be intubated after you are asleep, and it is usually removed before you wake up.

You will yes although sometimes it's not an actual tube. This is important as your airway needs to be secure during the surgery in order to keep you safe. It will be removed before you are awake properly and you will almost certainly have no memory of it ever being there - they put it in shortly after you go to sleep.
