Has this happened to anyone else? Is this even possible or am I going mad? 😬 I ordered an item from Amazon, which was marked as delivered yesterday right on time. Except I didn’t receive it. It was meant to come via Royal Mail.
I did, however, receive another parcel from Royal Mail addressed to a person I don’t know (not a neighbour, not anyone who has lived here in the past 40 years) but to our correct address. We live very rurally, no near neighbours, only 2 houses in our postcode (and it’s not for our only neighbours). The parcel contains TENA pads, which I assume whoever ordered them probably needs!
I went on Amazon today to hunt down what happened to my parcel…which is 5 litres of white wine vinegar because I have the very middle class problem of having too many free range eggs, so was going to make a whole load of pickled eggs this weekend. 😂 My vinegar has been delivered to an address in London (can’t see the exact address but I can see the area). We live very rurally about 3 hours from London. I checked and the tracking number on the parcel of TENA pads is almost identical to that for my 5 litres of vinegar, except for 3 numbers in the middle.
I’m not mad right to think I’ve gotten someone’s hygiene products and they’ve gotten an industrial amount of vinegar? Like I don’t know how it’s possible that our address ended up on a parcel with a different name and tracking number, because I assumed these things aren’t just inputted by real people? I always just thought it was automated, but can’t work out how this has happened.
I’ve attempted to contact both the seller and Amazon customer service but they’ve just sent me in endless circles with clicky algorithms that lead to nowhere. 😫
So hello there, if you live in Maida Vale and mysteriously received 5 litres of pickling vinegar instead of your TENA pads, give me a shout!
