Why are there never enough black wine gums?!

I mean, who would voluntarily go for the orange ones over any other colour?

It isn't just wine gums either. Fruit pastilles, jelly babies etc - even things like Roses and Quality Street, you get lots more of the colours / flavours which are a bit meh and only a couple of the best ones.

Why?!

And does anyone want to swap their green and black sweets for my red and orange?

I just opened a bag of Aldi wine gums and there are ten yes ten black ones. A good mix of other colours too.

YABU to buy wine gums when Lion sport mixture taste heaps better. Though you can still keep the green ones.

But black is the best and green is worst, how could those be joint favourite for anyone 😱😂
I agree green sweets almost always taste of toilet cleaner, yellow is often also dubious.

Black, white, red, orange are all good. Green and yellow can go, unless they happen to be apple and pineapple/tropical flavour instead of toilet cleaner 😂

My favourite are yellow, closely followed by orange. Dont care for red much.

UrsulaPandress · 02/06/2022 22:52

I’ve been disappointed that most contain beef or pork gelatine.

My options are limited.

They used to - until they changed the flavour of the black ones. It actually made me so cross Ive stopped buying them - the black ones were the best thing about them Angry

The old school black midget gems were the best!

Furries · 03/06/2022 10:11

Yellow, orange then green.

Happy to send the red and black ones to anyone who wants them!

EwwSprouts · 03/06/2022 16:45

The old school black midget gems were the best! You can still get them in independent shops. I know of a newsagent and pound shop type place in our northern town that sell them in packets (not loose). Maynards are soft and all wrong.

@SirChenjins You need Lion midget gems not sports mixture. The black ones are still liquorice.

NiqueNique · 03/06/2022 17:23

Ugh no the black ones are my least favourite, in fact I don’t like them at all. I’m always happy if I’m lucky enough to get a bag with hardly any in it. Same for any other sweet.

The greens taste of toilet duck.

How would you know?

Lions midget gems are the only thing I miss since going vegan. I’m sad that I can’t find any vegan options that taste as good
