I got a job!

Back to work for the first time in six years - I'm so excited! Years and years of illness and various family troubles has meant I've been trying to be okay with not working, but I have missed it. I'm back in my old sector at least which I'm delighted about. Part-time with a great employer (I think?) and hybrid remote which suits me fine.

It has all happened quite quickly so now I have to cancel a load of things that I had planned, but I think that will be straightforward. I'm nervous but not terrified. I have to give this my best shot.

Congrats OP! Exactly what I like to hear. I've just finally given in and resigned with similar circumstances to yours. Really good to see it might work out!

I thought I had resigned myself to just... never working again, always being the backstop, always being flexible and supportive and then it just hit me that I didn't want that and I didn't have to do that!
