I’ve just heard Runrig - loch Lomand on the radio and it instantly takes me back to every party I have ever been to as that seems to be the go to Scottish final song.

so what do other countries do? Does everywhere have a song similar?

In Ye Olden Days (80s) when I went out the end song was always New York, New York. Tradition was everyone stood in a circle kicking their legs in time to the music like something from Chicago. One year I kicked a little too enthusiastically, my stiletto shoe flew off and hit my then-boyfriend's boss in the face.
