My daughter is off to visit her boyfriend this weekend and is staying at his parents house. I suggested she takes a small gift to say thanks for their hospitality. This is he 1st time she will have met them as her and her boyfriend met at university just his year.

My son's girlfriend brought a small bunch of flowers and a bar of my favourite chocolate, I really appreciated that.

I should have mentioned that I would have suggested flowers but she has a 4 hour journey covering 2 buses to reach where he lives.

Are there shops beteeen the last stop and their house?

2pinkginsplease · 01/06/2022 22:11

Thanks for the suggestions. Thinking along the lines of a candle and M&S chocs/biscuits.

Her 2nd stop is a major city but an unfamiliar city and then hopefully getting picked up from there tondrive another 50mins to a village.

Yeah wine and a box of nice M&S chocs sounds good!

We've got jubilee tins from M&S for our hosts this weekend. Maybe a bottle of Pimms.
