Oof...went down a couple of rabbit holes early on and even when I hit on the right broad theme I struggled to narrow it down. That long word beginning with a vowel though!

Thinking about what it might be, in the context of the words I'd entered which were puzzling me gave me some inspiration. I thought of a couple of candidates, one of which turned out to be the right word. The other wasn't in the text but was the right sort of idea - luckily I went for the target rather than entering it as if it had shown up as zero it would have thrown me off course again.

I know a (very) little about the field thanks to DD... having a kid who has been all the way through education and developed her own interests is probably an advantage in this game! (I bet the MN collective did better than the global average on 'Roald Dahl').
