Have you found a nice low alcohol wine?

Waitrose do an ok sav blanc called the Doctor. It’s nice enough, especially as I drink it with sparkling water. It’s about 8% so strong enough to feel like a proper drink but low enough that you can have a few without getting wankered

are there any other nice ones out there for me to try?

Yes! I really like the McGuigan Sauvignon Blanc. Their Chardonnay is also good.

Honestly, no ☹️

The Torres Natureo Muscat was really not too bad, when drunk very cold!

Janey188 · 01/06/2022 22:25

I usually go for the whiskey! 😛

DiscoBadgers · 01/06/2022 22:25

Nosecco isn’t too bad

ShirleyPhallus · 01/06/2022 22:29

No, they don’t exist. Stuff like nosecco tsstes like piss as it’s simultaneously acidic and sweet, no dry depth whatsoever

0% beer is great though

MaChienEstUnDick · 01/06/2022 22:32

Vinho Verde is as low as I'll go, it's usually around 9%. Very cold, sometimes with ice or splash of soda.

LauraNicolaides · 01/06/2022 22:35

Not an answer to your question, but low/no alcohol beer has come on in leaps and bounds over the past few years, and is much better than wine.

Black Tower Rose is 5.5% and not too bad

Lillygolightly · 01/06/2022 22:41

Black Tower do a low calorie low alcohol white that’s not offensive to the taste buds.

MosaicBlues · 01/06/2022 22:45

Riesling is naturally a bit lower but you have to like Riesling!

MissBattleaxe · 01/06/2022 22:46

Black Tower white is about 5% and tastes like normal wine. Mgguigans no alcohol red isn't bad. It's a good way to round off a boozy night without getting too hungover.

SummerSazz · 01/06/2022 22:53

Not me!! But 0% tanqueray gin is lovely and Amstel the best no alcohol beer I've found!

garlicandsapphires · 01/06/2022 22:55

I’ve just discovered Crodino which is just like Aparol. It’s divine. There’s also a Campari version.

pinesofrome · 01/06/2022 23:07

Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc Flight is 9% and very good. Available in Sainsbury's.

Handsnotwands · 02/06/2022 09:41

Brilliant. Thanks for your suggestions
Black tower is a blast from the past!

yes I’ve found a few good beers but wines are definitely trickier

Also Aperol + Nosecco or Belle&Co. Can drink loads more without getting trolleyed and I can’t tell the difference.

MKCH · 27/07/2022 18:16

I am just popping back here to tell you about Wednesday's Domaine.
It's not cheap, but both the white and the red are actually pretty good!! The best I've tasted. You have to order online (but v fast delivery).

Supermarket wise (and only £6 a bottle) the Natureo is really very good too, both the white and the rosé.

All I'd say is for all the whites and rosés they need to be very cold.

Old post but wanted to add to the list. For red wine 19 Crimes Mid Strenghth (%7) is OK. I couldn
