I’m sorry if this has been done before but I’ve looked at covid and travel boards and can’t find anything recent.

how do you get and do the antigen tests for un vaxxed travel to France?
I get you have to buy them but can you order online? specific ones? Do you have to be watched taking them? And how do you register result?

thank you

I've heard of people.ising Randox tests and I'm sure they ordered them online

Thanks-I’ve had a look and there are lots of different options!
what’s to stop you registering the test as negative without even taking it once you’ve ordered it?

My understanding is that you can't certify the results yourself - it's not like the NHS system - you have to send them off for processing so cannot provide a fake result.

If its an LFT then you often just take a picture of the negative test to get the certificate

Randox lateral flow tests are £13.50 or £12 with a coupon code or £11 click and collect.

I used www.simplytestme.co.uk/ for my 12 year old when we went to France a few weeks ago. Order the test in advance. Complete it within the testing window and send a photo. I got the certificate through within a few minutes (not that anyone actually ever checked it).

artisanbread · 30/05/2022 13:01

They seem to have an offer at the moment where you can get a test for £10.

isthisreallyweird · 30/05/2022 13:02

I’ve just watched the video on the random website and you just have to scan the test and upload it to an app to get the certificate.
yes £11 click and collect-I wonder how long the expiry is and whether I should get a few in now in case there’s a rush closer to summer hols?
im really stressed about it but dd is adamant she doesn’t want the second vaccination as she felt worse after it than she did when she got covid and I don’t feel I can morally ‘force’ her to get it for the sake of a holiday.

We did this for travel to France and Spain. Really easy just plan ahead, and just check you have your timings right for arrival in the country (usually test needs to be within 48 hrs).
My teenagers have both had one vaccine and don't want another one at the moment.
